Toward agenda 2030 in education: policies and practices for effective school leadership

Abstract School leadership has been described as a key target for leveraging the quality of education in relation to sustainable development goal (SDG4) that seeks ‘ensure inclusive and all promote lifelong learning’ per UNESCO 2030 agenda. This study provides policy review school State Qatar, case study, but carries out discussions within global thrive meeting demands Agenda achieve public education. It utilized research instrument developed by UNESCO’s Division Policies Lifelong Learning Systems Paris. The used personal interview surveying, also called face-to-face was completed with high-level policymakers at Ministry Education Higher (MOEHE). consisted four sections addressed: (1) regulatory frameworks governing leadership; (2) professional opportunities offered leaders; (3) degree profession attractive; (4) procedures followed appraise leaders. Findings underscore critical role played autonomy, instructional leadership, governance responding 2030. discussion contributes discourse requirements
